The Department of Hindi was started in 1974 in Darjeeling Government College. The Hindi department offers Undergraduate course in Hindi literature and language. The Department is equipped with a Well-stocked Seminar library. It has a wall magazine namely ‘Srijandhara’ which is a platform of literary expression of students. The Hindi Department aims to promote Hindi language and literature.
